About Us
I am an all american woman that grew up in Brazil until my teen years. I am a college graduate and mother of 4. My hobbies include dance and playing piano. I have been a licensed ASP stager for 5 years and studied with Barb Schwarz. She taught me why staged homes sell and why home staging is a must for the house on the market. I'm very focused and love to work hard at my passion, which is staging homes. I was recently married to Christopher.
Christopher has been described as a renaissance man many times. Among his many talents, he has been a cabinetmaker with a taste for fine furniture, taught photography to children in New York, has a BA in biology, and is on the way to his RN. He loves photography and can sit at the computer "Shopping up" photos 28 hours a day, but says that the best photos need the least work. He says that his 3 children are his finest role models of achievement.
In Christopher's own words: When I first started taking photos for Jewel, I wondered if staged homes really made a difference. Then when Jewel and I staged our first home together I saw and heard the reaction of the owner that went something like "Oh my goodness. This is gorgeous!" and "Look at this! and this! What a transformation! She was so pleased and all she could do was sing the praises of the staging and that made me believe in home staging. I have seen the power of home staging-the positive reactions of people that walk into staged homes as opposed to a bare home are extremely significant. People want to live in these houses and talk about what they could do in different rooms. People see themselves in specific activities in these staged rooms where it is very difficult to see themselves in the rooms of a vacant home. Is it any wonder that contractors stage their model homes? Contractors spend thousands to sell their homes with home staging because staged homes sell and sell faster than nonstaged homes.
